When it isn't broke, why fix it? Teenage Fanclub needs no fixing. They've carved a successful path of indie rock /alternative rock/noise pop for 35+ years! I feel in love with the band with 1991's near perfect Bandwagonesque and their latest release is no different. Emulating the music of the mid-to-late 1960's, the band's lyrics of hope are intertwined with jangly guitars, sweet melodies, and awesome melodies; it's the reason I've loved this band for over 30 years!!! Not her more accessible album, to put it mildly. There are some tracks with a hidden beauty, but in most of them, the text is king and music almost disappears. Maybe it should have been released as "Spoken word"? alfayate
